Viterra is encouraging growers to utilise its digital delivery advice service this harvest to help them save time on farm and at site.
With the service, users can prefill regularly entered information, complete delivery advices in three easy steps and duplicate them for loads with the same information.
Viterra Operations General Manager, Gavin Cavanagh says with a big harvest coming up, utilising the company’s delivery streamlining service can make a difference.
“The continued rain for the past few weeks has put the state in a great position for a bigger crop, meaning everyone will be busy this year,” Gavin says.
“We understand the importance of moving deliverers through our sites safely and quickly with efficient turnaround times, and we encourage people to use digital delivery advice to help save time and make deliveries simpler for growers, carriers and our employees.
“It is available through the Viterra app and can be used by multiple people in the farming business helping everyone stay connected and up to date.”
Gavin says the service, which was introduced for all growers last season has received great reviews.
“Growers have completed 55,000 deliveries with digital delivery advice so far, and it’s been fantastic to hear how valuable it is to their businesses.
“We’ve made improvements this season making it even easier to save time and streamline deliveries based on user’s feedback.”
Arthurton based grower Connie Mason says digital delivery advice also reduces declaration errors.
“Our business found digital delivery advice a fast and effective method to assist with our grain deliveries,” says Connie.
“All members of our team being able to use the stored information saved time and reduced errors.”
Steve Glover from Cummins expressed his appreciation for the service.
“We didn’t realise we needed it, but now we can’t live without it. It’s very easy to get on board with,” says Steve.
The service also benefits carriers greatly, reducing the pressure on them to complete the declaration on the growers’ behalf.
Hancock Haulage owner Josh Hancock from Cummins says digital delivery advice has cut back on a lot of information chasing for his carriers.
“It’s a bonus for our business, works really well and has reduced mistakes. Previously we had to chase for information which was a lot of work, but now it’s instantly provided to us through the app which my employees and I can easily access,” Josh says.
