Buyers posting cash prices online for warehoused grain

Viterra’s new service for buying and selling grain is set to become a valued marketing tool for grower customers to quickly and easily sell their warehoused grain online.

Growers are already selling and transferring their new season delivered grain through warehouse to cash with the number of users increasing.

Warehouse to cash enables growers to instantly sell and transfer their warehoused grain to a cash price online without needing to contact the buyer.

In the first month of harvest, 10 buyers posted prices and more than 10% of transfers were carried out using the new service. These transfers have been across multiple sites, commodities and buyers, demonstrating that it can be used by a range of grower and buyer businesses. The number of users are expected to increase during harvest as grain deliveries ramp up.

Growers can check and compare prices and payment terms from multiple buyers on one screen and have live access to available stock in warehouse.

The new service is available in Ezigrain through the Viterra app or website. Growers can also benefit from other features in the Viterra app which was updated prior to last harvest.

The app provides quick access to site information, such as site updates, opening hours, segregations and cash pricing to help plan deliveries.

Ezigrain can be accessed through the Viterra app in a mobile friendly format enabling growers to transact in an easy three step process, check delivery information and view tonnes in warehouse which can be filtered by season, commodity and grade.

Growers can also sign up to receive push notifications which includes updates on operational information and details of delivered loads.

Growers who already have the Viterra app are reminded to turn on push notifications and automatic updates to access the latest information and services.
