Viterra recruiting at key locations

Viterra is currently recruiting for roles at key locations in its network based on the Yorke Peninsula and mid north.

The business currently has four vacant positions which include two mechanical maintenance officers, a maintenance supervisor and electrical maintenance officer.

The two maintenance officer – mechanical roles are suited to qualified maintenance fitters who are responsible for maintaining fixed and mobile plant equipment. The roles will also provide repairs for mechanical, hydraulic, diesel and pneumatic systems, and identify future maintenance requirements. One role is based in Port Giles and the other working at Viterra’s Bowmans and Snowtown group of sites in the mid north.

The successful applicant for the maintenance officer – electrical will be based in Port Giles and requires an electrical workers licence Class A, and experience maintaining fixed and mobile plant and equipment.

Also based in Port Giles, the maintenance supervisor role is suited to someone with experience, skills or qualifications in managing a team, and a trade qualification in electro-technology, mechanical fitting, diesel, A-class electrician or similar. The successful applicant will be responsible for planning and coordinating the electrical and mechanical servicing, maintenance installations and updates to fixed and mobile plant, and ship loading equipment.

Viterra’s Port Giles and mid north sites are key receivals sites where growers deliver during harvest. The Port Giles site is also one of six of Viterra’s key port terminals where grain is loaded onto vessels bound for the export market on behalf of a number of buyers and exporters.
