Viterra is focused on providing a high level of service to local growers that deliver into its 55 sites and connecting them with end use markets. It is currently recruiting for a number of permanent roles to play a key role in its operations, joining its large workforce at key regional sites throughout its agriculture network.
Roles are available in the upper north, mid north, Adelaide Plains areas and the lower Eyre Peninsula.
Opportunities include the position of field services officer, which acts as the main contact for training and support in relation to inventory, food safety and quality. This role helps to support Viterra’s strong focus on food safety and quality management to ensure growers have access to a number of markets.
The successful candidate will be based at Viterra’s Port Lincoln site on the Eyre Peninsula which is a key grower delivery site for grain and established export terminal. During harvest, growers’ deliver their grain into the site where grain is also loaded onto vessels to fulfil export demand from a range of international markets and countries.
Viterra is also recruiting for part time operator positions at grower delivery sites in the mid north and upper north, as well as full time operator roles in the upper north.
Operator roles involve hands on tasks including operating site equipment and machinery, grain classification including taking and testing samples of grain, operating road grids, directing traffic and general cleaning duties. No experience is necessary as training is provided. The successful applicants’ work includes ensuring local growers are provided with an efficient, high level of service, especially during the grain harvest, which can be a busy and rewarding experience.
Viterra is seeking full or part time bulk loading plant (BLP) operators to work at Viterra’s Outer Harbor and Inner Harbour key export terminals in Port Adelaide. BLP operators are responsible for safely and efficiently loading stored grain onto vessels with activities including operating equipment and machinery, and carrying out general maintenance. The role also involves participating in and completing safety and plant inspections.
