Last month, growers delivered over 3300 tonnes into our network, the majority of which were lentils.
As well as managing outturns and grower deliveries, we have been focusing on preparing for the 2020/21 harvest. We are progressing our site clearance and preventative maintenance plans and our capital works projects in preparation for harvest receivals.
As part of our preparations, we have provided growers with information about delivering to our sites this year.
This includes information about changes to our storage and handling service fees and Export Select rates, which reduces costs and provides value to growers. Both reflect further efficiency gains obtained through changes to our operations, while ensuring we can continue the long term sustainability of our supply chain and investment into our sites.
We have also made changes though investments for the 2020/21 harvest, including our new warehouse to cash service that makes it quicker and easier for growers to instantly sell and transfer warehoused grain to a cash price. More information.
We have also provided information on changes to classification standards for cereals and pulses this year, which have been made based on industry guidelines and maintaining market access for South Australian grain. View changes.
We released the results from our planting survey, which we use to help match our services to growers’ needs. As part of the survey, three community groups have each been gifted a $1000 donation by Viterra on behalf of local grain growers who nominated the groups when completing the survey. More information.
