Glencore Agriculture has welcomed two new faces to its southern New South Wales team, based at Wagga Wagga.
Andrew Puckeridge is the new Accumulation Manager for Southern NSW and John Marshall is a new Field Officer. Both have a strong passion for agriculture and are keen to build relationships with growers in the region.
Andrew has more than 26 years in agribusiness from meat and oils trading to agri-banking and oilseed crushing. He also enjoys his hobby farm where he grows wheat, canola and grazes cattle. He said meeting growers and discussing their cropping businesses was a highlight of his new role. “Our area is very diverse in production and has changed dramatically over the past five years, particularly with the growth of cotton,” Andrew said.
“The Wagga Wagga office is well placed to take advantage of these various production enterprises, located as we are in the middle of an extremely reliable agricultural production area.”
John is starting out his career after completing a Bachelor of Agricultural Science at Charles Sturt University, where he also gained experience in grains as a harvest casual at local silos.
“As I am new to the industry, I have enjoyed the opportunity to get out and speak to growers and understand how diversified the NSW growing regions are,” John said.
“I am enjoying being exposed to many aspects of the grain industry and I look forward to expanding my relationships and knowledge of the region.”
The Wagga Wagga office is one of nine Glencore Agriculture offices around Australia. For any grower accumulation enquiries, call 1300 453 626.
