Viterra is looking for around 40 motivated individuals to join its workforce of 1000 permanent and ongoing employees in operational roles at sites across regional South Australia.
Applications are currently open for the roles, which vary from entry level through to leadership positions, and include both permanent part time and full time opportunities.
Locations include Port Lincoln, Thevenard, Lock, Tumby Bay, Kimba, Rudall and Wudinna on the Eyre Peninsula, Ardrossan and Port Giles on the Yorke Peninsula, Bowmans and Port Pirie in the mid north, and Wolseley in the south east.
Included in the available positions are operator roles, which are suitable for entry level candidates and offer the opportunity for individuals to learn new skills while performing active tasks in a team environment.
Operators play a vital role in helping Viterra receive and store local growers’ grain before moving it to end use markets. Each day is varied and can include duties such as testing and assessing grain, operating machinery to help trucks unload or load grain and working at different areas around site performing general tasks like cleaning.
Viterra is also hiring for several operational leadership roles, and is looking for candidates who have proven management experience, as well as strong communication and problem solving skills.
Site supervisor positions are available at Wolseley, Kimba and Bowmans, where the role includes overseeing operations at site. Site supervisors work with local and statewide colleagues to find solutions for safely and efficiently receiving grain and moving it to port, while managing and supporting multiple employees to achieve the best outcomes.
In South Australia’s mid north, Viterra is seeking an operations coordinator to lead a group of sites in its Central region, responsible for planning and coordinating operational activities to achieve high levels of quality, safety, efficiency and customer service.
A career with Viterra offers a range of benefits, including opportunities and pathways to progress through both internal support and guidance as well as access to professional development and training programmes.
