Adelaide Crows, Viterra to hold first Country Connect event at Lameroo this weekend

Viterra is pleased to be holding the first of its Country Connect events in partnership with the Adelaide Football Club at Lameroo on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 May.

As part of this weekend’s inaugural event, past and present Crows AFL and AFLW players will attend the Southern Mallee Suns match day and Trivia Night on Saturday 11 May.

Crows players will then support the running of a junior coaching clinic for children aged 5-15 on Sunday morning, alongside a Mother’s Day BBQ brunch provided by Viterra.

A number of Crows Country memberships will also be available to registered attendees on a first-come, first-served basis.

The link to register for the junior coaching clinic is available at viterra.com.au, and registrations are open to all children in the Murray Mallee region.

This first Country Connect event comes after Viterra announced a two-year partnership with the Adelaide Football Club earlier this year, aimed at supporting regional communities through a series of events and initiatives.

The partnership is centred on past and present Crows AFL and AFLW players travelling to regional areas to participate in local football club match days, support non-match day events and host junior coaching clinics.

Along with the Southern Mallee Suns, two other regional South Australian clubs will also benefit from the partnership in its first year. The Eastern Eyre Ranges Football Club (Cleve/Rudall, Eyre Peninsula) and Bute Football Club (Bute, Yorke Peninsula) will both host events planned for June.

We are extremely pleased to partner with the Crows to facilitate this programme of clinics which provides an opportunity for junior footballers in regional areas to connect with and learn from elite players.

Viterra already supports more than 30 regional community groups across South Australia through our 20c/tonne sponsorship programme, and has donated over $600,000 since its inception.

This partnership is another way we can continue to positively impact the regional areas where we operate, and where the majority of our employees, customers and suppliers live and work.
