Viterra seeking grower feedback in planting survey

Viterra is inviting its grower customers to complete a planting survey to help inform the company’s segregation plan.

Viterra releases a planting survey each year to understand what is being grown. The feedback that growers provide through the short survey helps to guide Viterra’s segregation plans at sites for the coming harvest.

The survey asks for grower feedback about the commodities, varieties and hectares that they’ve sown for the season.

Viterra General Manager Operations, Gavin Cavanagh says the survey, which opened this week, is an important tool in ensuring the company’s service meets growers’ needs.

“We encourage all of our grower customers to take part so that we can match our segregation plans to their needs,” Gavin says.

"Feedback from the survey, and discussions with our grower silo committees and individual growers, are all extremely valuable in our planning process and establishing our initial segregation plans.

“The information also helps us to maintain market access for local growers’ grain and ensure it meets the requirements of our end use customers.

“To thank our growers for their time in taking part in the planting survey, they can go into the draw to win a community donation prize to a community group of their choice.”

Growers who complete the survey by Sunday 9 July with their NGR details can go into the draw to win one of five $1000 community donations offered by Viterra to a community group of their choice. Terms and conditions apply and are available on the Viterra website. Last year, Laura Sporting Reserve, Walker Flat CFS and the Karoonda Football Club each received $1000 donations made by Viterra on behalf of its grower customers.

The survey can be accessed on the Viterra website and has been distributed to grower customers by email, SMS and app notification. It is quick to fill out on a phone, tablet or computer.

Those who would prefer to provide feedback over the phone are encouraged to contact their local operations coordinator, operations supervisor or Viterra on 1800 018 205.

Viterra will share a summary of results with grower customers by email and the Viterra website.
