Growers working with world leading grain storage, handling and marketing company Viterra will benefit from extra support this harvest with the introduction of new grower relationship manager roles across their network.
Viterra has appointed industry veterans Kym Scott and Todd Stanford as grower relationship managers who will be available to help growers take even further advantage of the Viterra network this harvest.
Viterra General Manager, Accumulation & Grower Services Andrew Wilsdon says the new grower relationship managers are here to enhance Viterra’s service to grower customers and ensure Viterra is meeting all their needs.
“We understand that our grower customers rely on expert advice and reliable support, particularly over the harvest season where quick and confident decision making is essential,” Andrew says.
“Being able to have assistance directly from someone who is easily reachable, local and knows the industry inside out will be invaluable for them.”
The grower relationship managers will be strategically positioned across the different regions of Viterra’s agricultural network.
The roles have been devised to work in conjunction with Viterra’s regional operations management, grower services and accumulation teams, to strengthen current customer support offerings in an increasingly fast-moving market.
Growers are encouraged to connect with their regional grower relationship manager for assistance across all key business areas, including operational, technical, and marketing matters.
“Kym and Todd are ready and on hand to support growers in using our network whether that be: grain storage, delivering to Viterra, selling to Viterra, transactional solutions and much more,” says Andrew.
“They’ll also be the go-to contact for any customers who want to explore new and more tailored market opportunities for their grain.
“As we move towards the start of harvest, these new roles are just one of the ways that Viterra is ramping up our services and support to growers during this busy time of year.”
Kym and Todd have both worked at Viterra for more than a decade. They have the skills and know-how to help growers navigate the many facets of the Viterra network.
For Todd Stanford, who will primarily cover Viterra’s eastern region from Strathalbyn to Dooen, the new role is an opportunity to help growers maximise the benefits they can receive using Viterra’s services.
“If anyone in the network is looking for ways to streamline their operations and make the most of harvest, we’ll be here to explain what’s on offer and what approach will best suit their needs,” Todd says.
“It’s a great way to further engage with our customers as Viterra continues to evolve and adapt its services to meet their needs.”
Kym and Todd are currently in the process of connecting with local growers and introducing them to the assistance they can offer as harvest ramps up.
Viterra encourages growers to contact your local grower relationship manager if you are looking for assistance in making the most of the Viterra network. More information is available on the Viterra website at viterra.com.au/growers.
Kym Scott
Kym started at Viterra in 2009 and has been working closely with our growers ever since through a variety of roles. In his new role as grower relationship manager with a focus on the western region, Kym will be primarily working with customers across the Eyre Peninsula and up to Penong. He will be based at Port Lincoln.
With over a decade’s worth of operational experience, Kym is looking forward to continuing to help growers hone their business solutions.
“We have such a fantastic grower community on the Eyre Peninsula and West Coast, it’ll be great to work with growers this harvest and into the future,” Kym says.
Todd Stanford
Todd will be based at Viterra’s Adelaide office and is looking forward to being a grower relationship manager with a focus on the eastern region. Todd has been with Viterra for over 10 years, and in addition to this new grower relationship manager role, he currently manages the grower services team and is a leader in the creation and ongoing development of the Viterra app and digital delivery advice service.
“My aim in this role is to ensure that our growers are getting the best service from Viterra and are aware of all that we offer. I’m also excited to meet more growers and learn more about their businesses,” Todd says.
The position for grower relationship manager with a focus on the central region is currently vacant. Until the role is filled growers can contact Central Region Operations Manager, Jack Tansley and the local operations team, or Kym and Todd, with any queries.
