The pace of harvest across the state has slowed with 263,000 tonnes of grain delivered into Viterra’s network over the past week.
Viterra’s 2017 shipping program remains strong with 166,000 tonnes of grain exported from the six ports last week.
Viterra would like to remind growers that as the season winds down, some sites are beginning to close. Opening hours can be found on the Ezigrain website or by contacting the Viterra Service Centre on 1800 018 205.
Grain receivals in the Western region are decreasing as harvest comes to a close, with just over 20,000 tonnes of grain delivered.
Shipping out of Thevenard and Port Lincoln continued with more than 70,000 tonnes of grain exported last week.
In the Central region, sites received over 165,000 tonnes of grain in the past week.
Viterra’s Bowmans site broke its season receival record on 17 January, taking in more than 376,000 tonnes of grain so far this season.
Grain deliveries in the Eastern region have slowed in the last week with 76,000 tonnes of grain received into Viterra’s system.
Viterra’s Wolseley site broke its season receival record taking in more than 145,000 tonnes of grain on 17 January. Extra storage has been built at the site to accommodate the large harvest.
