Viterra received just under 230,000 tonnes last week.
Cool conditions at the start of the week meant receivals were quiet with 70,000 tonnes received from Monday to Friday. Receivals picked up with warmer weather and nearly 160,000 tonnes were delivered to our sites over the weekend. Total receivals for the 2018/19 harvest are now 487,000 tonnes.
Receivals in the Western region picked up significantly and for the first time this harvest took more grain than the Central region.
The Western region received 120,000 tonnes in its busiest week so far this harvest. The warmer weather later in the week increased deliveries across the region.
The majority of commodities received have been barley and canola, with large deliveries of canola into sites Cummins and Port Lincoln last week. Some wheat is beginning to be delivered into the region.
The Central region received over 100,000 tonnes last week, of which, the majority of deliveries were into sites in the mid north and the upper north of the region. The region also saw the start of lentil harvesting with lentils being delivered into Ardrossan and Two Wells.
Over 6,000 tonnes was received into Eastern region sites as harvest slowly increased.
All sites in the Mallee area have taken grain whilst the south east sites are yet to begin receivals.
