About 4,000 tonnes of grain was received into the Viterra network over the past month, with total receivals for 2017/18 sitting at 5.6 million tonnes.

Viterra has shipped more than 3 million tonnes of grain out of South Australia so far this season, for 11 different exporters headed to 19 overseas destinations.

Looking to the 2018/19 harvest, Viterra has released its preliminary segregation plan for growers to provide feedback.

Viterra will work closely with growers as they commence seeding and as the season progresses to ensure segregations match what is being grown in each region.

Of particular note is the increase to Spartacus and Compass segregations to reflect growers’ shift towards these varieties as a result of their recent malt accreditation.

Segregations are also planned to maximise the elevation capacity and minimise overall turnaround times across the network.

Growers can visit the Viterra website to view the plan and give feedback through their regional office.
