Viterra hosts growers and employees to review harvest operations

Viterra has concluded its annual postharvest meetings, engaging with growers and employees across its network to review the recent harvest and discuss what went well and improvements for future seasons.

These meetings provide an important opportunity for direct feedback and open discussions, ensuring that Viterra’s operations continue to align with the needs of local growers and carriers.

At its grower meetings, Viterra brings together strategic site committee chairs (SSCCs) and grower representatives from each region to discuss key aspects of the harvest at a regional and individual site level. This includes topics such as elevation capacity, opening hours, communication, and online services.

Viterra also provides attendees an update on the business, global market outlook and plans for upcoming harvests.

In addition to holding postharvest meetings with growers, Viterra hosts operational employees for meetings in each of its regions, providing an opportunity for employees to get together and discuss specific site feedback, including what was effective and where improvements could be made.

The grower and employee meetings form an important part of Viterra’s annual harvest review process, helping with planning for future harvests by understanding what growers value.

Another way the company gains feedback from growers and carriers is through its postharvest survey, which was open for submissions at the end of harvest.

Viterra thanks the growers and carriers who have provided feedback on the 2024/25 harvest through its postharvest survey, speaking to a Viterra employee, or attending one of its postharvest meetings. Even in a below average season, feedback from customers is extremely valuable in helping the company understand what it is doing well and where it can improve to assist in planning for future harvests.

Viterra will continue to work with its employees and grower customers over the coming months as it progresses with its postharvest review and planning for the next harvest, to ensure the company can continue to provide an efficient and effective service which meets customers’ needs.
