Viterra Safety Card

 

  • For growers delivering grain to a Viterra site.
  • For carriers NOT working directly for and/or subcontracting to:
    • Bowley/Colliver Transport
    • Ceduna Bulk Hauliers
    • Glen Carron Bulk Haulage
    • Quinn Transport
    • Symons-Clark Logistics
    • Vin Callery Transport
    • Wishart Contractors
  • If you work for one of the carriers listed above, or you are carrying out work other than transporting grain at a Viterra site, then you will need a SitePass card.
  • Visitors and passengers do not need a safety card.

Q: Who needs a Viterra Safety Card?
A:
Growers delivering grain to a Viterra site, or carriers delivering grain who do not work for the above list of companies.

Q: If I have a SitePass Card do I need a Viterra Safety Card?
A:
If you hold a valid SitePass Card, you do not need a Viterra Safety Card as well.

Q: Why do I need a Viterra Safety Card?
A:
The Viterra Safety Card verifies that you are up to date with the relevant safety requirements, procedures and responsibilities relating to transporting grain at Viterra sites.

Q: How do I get a Viterra Safety Card?
A:
You will receive the Safety Card once you have completed the Viterra Safety Induction for Grower Deliveries, which has updated safety information that you should be aware of.

Upon successful completion of the induction, you will be able to print a certificate to carry on site until you receive your new card. Your Viterra Safety Card will be sent to your nominated mailing address within three weeks.

Q: How long is a Viterra Safety Card valid for?
A:
A Viterra Safety Card is valid for two years. To ensure everyone is up to date with the latest safety information, Viterra Safety Cards need to be renewed every two years.

Q: Do visitors and passengers need a Viterra Safety Card?
A:
No, visitors and passengers do not need a Safety Card. Passengers must remain in the vehicle in operational areas. Visitors being escorted on site or only entering the classification office, for example, having a sample tested, do not need a safety card. It is only required for those driving the vehicle that is delivering grain to the site.

Q: When do I need my Viterra Safety Card?
A:
If you are transporting grain at a Viterra site, ensure you carry your Viterra Safety Card. Viterra employees can ask to see your card at any time, along with photographic identification to verify it is your card. This is the only Safety Card recognised by Viterra.

  • For contractors undertaking work at a Viterra site
  • For carriers transporting grain at a Viterra site who work for and/or subcontracting to:

  • If you are transporting grain at a Viterra site and do NOT work for one of the carriers listed above, then you will need a Viterra safety card.
  • Visitors and passengers do not need a card.

Q: Who needs a SitePass registration?
A:
Contractors undertaking work at a Viterra site, and carriers who work for the list above must have a valid SitePass registration/card.

Q: Why do I need to register with SitePass?
A:
SitePass registration allows you and your company to self-register and upload qualifications, licences and insurances, and provides online induction training relevant to the type of contractor that you are. It also allows Viterra to provide safety information to all contractors and ensures you are aware of our site operations and are therefore better equipped to conduct your work in a safe environment.

Q: Does Viterra accept any other safety registrations?
A:
No, Viterra only accepts a valid SitePass registration for contractors undertaking work.

Q: How do I register with SitePass?
A:
Complete the induction and training at the SitePass website.
